Dot
The second work in my personal library series (Shape | Timeline), Dot creates a chance soundscape inspired by John Cage’s work with the I Ching. The color of each circle matches the genre; the size, the length of the book; and the sound and background are tied to the feeling it evokes in me: guilt, nostaglia, excitement or another.
In this way I attempt to recreate the experience of glancing along the shelf, remembering.
Dot was shown at Medialounge NYC in the fall of 2015.
